Haunted? Scared? Spooky? Should be, on Ellis Island had a busy 22 building hospital from 1902-1930. Ellis Island is known for millions of people immigranting to the U.S. This hospital has taken care of so many people. This hospital was abandones for two years until Lorie Conway got to document the hospital. She dug through history to find out all the information she can.
A non-profit organization, Save Ellis Island is trying to save the abandoned hospital and reopen hisotry. She interviewed many family memebers and immigrants also talking about how this place and other hospitals are haunted. But during entry to this hospital years ago, many people were stripped down for a physical, some would be confused and not know what's going on. Some family members were seperated. In 1914, 10,000 patients were treated in 75 different countries.
Many records were lost and Ms. conway hopes her film will lead her to find more clues on the history of this hospital. I believed this article was very well written. It was detailed from beginning to end. The writer focused a lot on the past which was good because there were intervews of patients and what they had to go through. The documentary was sent to PBS and hopefully the film will be seen.

Lots of buildings where people were tortured or died horrible deaths have been converted into luxury condominiums. I don't know if I believe in ghosts or not, but if I had $1 million I'd live somewhere else.
